Oak wood chunks impart a medium smoky flavour that is slightly stronger than cherry or alder and is suitable for a wide range of food smoking.

We grow our own oak in a traditional coppice which was specifically planted for producing sustainably sourced wood chunks for use in BBQ’s, Offset smokers, Smoke Pits and wood fired pizza ovens. Our oak chunks are fully seasoned and ready to use after being air dried for at least 24 months.

Oak remains a popular smoke wood as it goes with just about any barbecue meat but should be used sparingly on long duration cooks.

Oak Wood Chunks are sawn and split to size ready to sit on top of charcoal to impart smoke for a given period of time during the cook. £2.50/kg
