Apple: Most sought after for smoking pork but also very popular for smoking poultry.
We grow our own Apple trees here in Lancashire, planted amongst our coppices specifically for making sustainably sourced apple wood chunks for use in BBQ’s, Smoke Pits and wood fired ovens.
We don’t ‘buy in’ any of our smoke wood as we don’t want to supply anything that we cannot vouch for. As our own sustainably grown supply is limited, we do not offer apple logs or splits – just well seasoned apple wood chunks.
Apple wood chunks are sawn and split to size ready to sit on top of charcoal to impart smoke for a given period of time during the cook. £2.50/kg
